Flicker's Tiny Glow

Opening image for the story
Flicker was a little firefly who was very, very shy. He had a tiny light inside him, but he was afraid to let it shine. He thought his light wasn't bright enough, and he didn't want anyone to laugh. One night, Flicker was hiding behind a big leaf when he saw a group of fireflies dancing in the air. Their lights twinkled and sparkled, making the night sky beautiful. Flicker wished he could join them, but he was too scared. Suddenly, one of the fireflies landed on the leaf next to Flicker. "Hello," she said. "Why are you hiding?" Flicker mumbled, "I'm afraid to shine my light. It's not very bright." The firefly smiled. "That's silly! Every light is special. Come on, let's dance!" Flicker hesitated, then slowly turned on his light. It was a tiny, gentle glow, but it was beautiful. The other fireflies saw him and flew over to him. "Wow, your light is so pretty!" they said. "It makes our dance even brighter!" Flicker was surprised. He had never thought his light could make anything brighter. He started to dance with the other fireflies, and he felt happy and brave. He realized that his light, even though it was small, was special and made the night even more magical. From that day on, Flicker wasn't afraid to shine his light anymore. He knew that his light, along with all the other fireflies' lights, made the night sky even more beautiful. And he learned that friendship makes everyone brighter.
