The neon lights of the Piltover casino pulsed like a frantic heartbeat, reflecting off the shimmering scales of Vi's gauntlets. She was a whirlwind of energy, a blur of punches and kicks as she navigated the crowded floor, her eyes scanning for her target.
"You're sure this is the right place?" a voice rasped, laced with amusement.
Vi whirled around, a playful grin splitting her face. "Relax, Powder. This is where the big fish swim. And I'm here to reel one in."
Powder, now known as Jinx, her hair a riot of purple and pink, leaned against a nearby slot machine, her gaze fixed on the flashing lights. "Big fish? You mean the guy who's been winning every hand for the last hour?"
Vi nodded, her eyes narrowed. "The one with the fancy hat and the even fancier smile. He's got a whole vault full of hextech, and I'm gonna make him cough it up."
Jinx chuckled, a sound like a broken music box. "You're gonna rob him? You're gonna get us arrested?"
"Relax, Jinx," Vi said, her voice softening. "This is just a little... persuasion. Besides, I'm not doing this for myself. Remember what we promised each other?"
Jinx's eyes flickered, a shadow of sadness crossing her face. "We promised to never let anyone hurt each other again."
"Exactly," Vi said, her voice firm. "And that includes this guy. He's been using his hextech to exploit people, and I'm gonna put a stop to it."
Jinx sighed, her gaze drifting to the roulette wheel spinning in the distance. "You know, I used to think we'd be doing this together. You and me, taking down the bad guys, making the world a better place."
Vi's smile faltered. "I know, Jinx. But things changed. We had to go our separate ways."
"Yeah, well, I'm not sure I like the way things are going," Jinx said, her voice laced with bitterness. "I'm tired of being alone. I'm tired of being... Jinx."
Vi reached out and squeezed Jinx's shoulder. "I know, Jinx. But we're still sisters. And we'll always have each other's backs, no matter what."
Jinx nodded, a flicker of hope returning to her eyes. "You're right, Vi. We're sisters. And sisters always stick together."
As Vi approached the target, a man with a smug grin and a diamond-encrusted cane, Jinx watched from the sidelines, her eyes narrowed. She knew Vi was capable of taking him down, but a part of her wished she could be there, fighting alongside her sister.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the casino. The roulette wheel had malfunctioned, sending a shower of gold coins flying through the air. Chaos erupted as people scrambled to grab the scattered loot.
Jinx's eyes widened. This was her chance. This was her moment to shine.
"Looks like the big fish just got a little distracted," she said, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Time to make a splash."
With a cackle, Jinx launched herself into the fray, her laughter echoing through the casino as she joined the scramble for the gold. Vi watched her sister, a mixture of amusement and concern on her face.
Jinx might be a chaotic whirlwind, but she was still her sister. And Vi knew, deep down, that they would always find their way back to each other, even if it meant a little chaos along the way.
