The Race to Sleep

Opening image for the story
Noah loved playing with his toy cars, zooming them all over the room! But when it was time for naptime, Noah didn't want to stop. He'd wiggle and giggle, his eyes wide open. One day, Mom had a special idea. "Let's snuggle up and read a book," she said. Noah loved stories! After the book, Mom gave him a warm hug and whispered, "Close your eyes, Noah. Think about all the fun things you did today." Noah closed his eyes and imagined his cars racing. Slowly, his eyelids grew heavy. He felt sleepy and snuggled deeper into his blanket. "Resting helps you grow big and strong," Mom said softly. Noah drifted off to sleep, dreaming of his toy cars and knowing that rest was just as fun as play!
